What does the Wonderbar do?
The multi-tasking product acts as a toner, cleanser, exfoliator and moisturizer in one, healing and balancing skin by restoring your complexion to its optimal pH level. Suitable for all skin types, Wonderbar has been shown to improve the appearance of acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, large pores, hyper-pigmentation and more.
What is the Healing Crisis?
Because the formula purges the skin of toxins rather than trapping them beneath your complexion, the treatment may initially result in dryness and a mild to moderate breakout. This process is referred to as the “Healing Phase” and is an important step in restoring youthfulness to the skin.
Should I discontinue use if my face gets dry or breaks out?
It may seem as if your complexion is reacting negatively to the treatment, but the dryness is a sign of healing and will eventually subside. We recommend that you continue using the bar through this period, as you won’t achieve optimal results until the healing phase is complete. The severity of the symptoms is dependent on the level of toxins in your skin and the healing that needs to occur.
How do I use the Wonderbar?
To use, simply get the bar wet and lather in your hands until you achieve a lotion-like consistency. Apply to a wet or dry, clean face and neck twice daily. Let the lather sit on your skin for 3-5 minutes, then rinse off.
Can I use the Wonderbar in the shower?
The process must not be done in the shower, as your skin will not dry and the bar won’t be able to permeate the skin.
How should I store the Wonderbar?
Keep on a plate or dish away from direct water. This will ensure that the bar will last and not be wasted.
Can I wear makeup while using the Wonderbar?
We recommend wearing minimal makeup or ideally avoiding foundation entirely during the initial period of healing, as it is counterproductive in the healing/detoxifying process. Especially avoid mineral powders, as they can trigger a very severe healing crisis. Once your skin has adjusted, you can experiment with other products such as vitamin/antioxidant serums, foundations and powders. Just be careful to introduce any new products one at a time, so if you have a reaction, you will know immediately what is causing it. After the healing phase, you can be confident that your skin is not reacting to the Wonderbar.
Do I need to remove my makeup before I use the Wonderbar?
If you wear foundation or powder and you may need additional cleansing before application. You can rinse off make up with water or if you use heavier makeup you can use a very light, simple formula to remove it.
Can I use products with anti-aging ingredients?
Be aware that some moisturizers with retinol, alpha hydroxyl or any anti-aging ingredients may not be compatible with the bar... a pure, plain, hydrating moisturizer works best.
